Best time to visit Rwanda

Rwanda is a place lots of people visit almost all year round, but if you’re looking for the best time to go, June-September is definitely the time you should visit. This is based on a number of factors such as the weather, cost of flights and accommodation, peak travel periods and more.

In summer, the average maximum temperature in Kigali climbs to around 26℃ (80℉), but temperatures can sometimes reach as high as 30℃ (85℉) on the hottest days of the year. In the colder months such as May, temperatures usually get down to an average minimum of 14℃ (57℉). The longest days between sunrise and sunset in Rwanda are usually in December, so if you want to get the most out of your daytime activities, be sure to plan your visit around this time. To stay dry, avoid travelling to Rwanda in October – It’s the wettest month of the year.
